Step 1: Learn What We Do & Apply
We’re a 100% remote regional office servicing families and individuals in numerous states— a Fortune 500 company. For over 70 years, AIL has provided exclusive non cost benefits to union members, credit unions, and associations who request our services.
Best of all- No cold calling. No buying leads. No endless recruiting for others. No multiple carriers to be concerned with having to learn "their process".
Every appointment we handle is requested first by the client.
Step 2: Get Licensed
All agents are required by law to hold a state-issued Life and Health Insurance License.
Currently Licensed Agents:
If you already hold an active Life and Health Insurance License, you can move directly into the onboarding and training process. Our team will assist with carrier appointments, system setup, and getting you into production as quickly as possible.
New or Unlicensed Candidates:
If you're not yet licensed, don't worry — we'll guide you through the process. You'll complete an approved pre-licensing course, schedule your state exam, and complete any required background review. Once licensed, you can begin training and onboarding immediately.
No matter where you're starting, our goal is to provide a clear path from onboarding to serving clients with the support, mentorship, and training needed to succeed.
Step 3: Complete Orientation and Training
Our training system is designed to help you build confidence, develop skills, and get started with the right support.
You'll follow a structured onboarding process that includes:
• Orientation & Training – Learn how our systems, technology, and client process work.
• Skill Development – Build communication, presentation, and client service skills through guided training and real-world examples.
• Mentorship & Support – Learn alongside experienced team members, receive coaching, and gain practical experience as you grow.
Whether you're entering the industry for the first time or bringing previous experience, our goal is to provide a clear path from onboarding to serving clients confidently and professionally.
Step 4: Start Helping Families
You'll work with families who have requested information about their benefits. Using company-provided leads at no cost to you, you'll connect with clients by phone, schedule virtual appointments, and help them understand the coverage options available to them.
There is no cold calling or door-to-door prospecting. Instead, you'll meet with families virtually, learn about their situation, answer questions, and help determine which benefits may be appropriate based on factors such as their age, health, habits, family needs, and budget.
Our role is not to pressure people into buying products. It's to educate families, provide information, and help them make informed decisions about protecting what matters most.
Make a Friend → Establish Value → Transition → Expose the Need → Close with Care
Every interaction helps you sharpen your skills, build confidence, and grow your income as you help others.
Step 5: Grow Into Leadership
Growth here isn't based on waiting for an opening or years of seniority. As you develop your skills, help more families, and take on greater responsibility, additional opportunities become available.
Many of our leaders started in the same role you're considering today. Over time, top performers can grow into positions that include mentoring new team members, leading training, managing teams, and helping develop future leaders.
As your impact grows, so does your earning potential through a combination of personal production, leadership opportunities, and long-term income streams. Whether your goal is to build a flexible career, increase your income, or eventually lead a team, there is a path for continued growth and advancement.
Step 6: Build Your Legacy
Success here is built through consistency, professional growth, and helping families protect what matters most. As you gain experience, you'll have opportunities to take on greater responsibility, support newer team members, and contribute to the growth of the organization.
For those interested in leadership, there are paths to mentor others, help develop future professionals, and build a team of your own. Whether your goal is additional income, greater flexibility, or leading a growing organization, your advancement is based on your performance, development, and ability to help others succeed.
